A message from the Commodore of Pwllheli Sailing Club:

Croeso gynnes iawn i Gymrua warm welcome to Wales.

The Club is delighted to have the honour of hosting the World Championship in the 60th anniversary year of the class.

Set in the magnificent surrounding of Snowdonia and the Lleyn, we know that Tremadog Bay boasts some of the best sailing water in the UK and is a true world class venue.

I would like to thank at the start all the people involved in the preparations for this event, including the RYA, UK Cadet Class Association and the club itself. We are grateful at the Club for the support received from the Welsh Assembly Government, North Wales Events Commission, Hafan Pwllheli and Gwynedd Council in developing Pwllheli as the Welsh National Events Centre.

We are confident you will enjoy some ‘champagne sailing’ days - and perhaps receive a visit from our friendly local porpoises.

I’m sure you will remember the event for its friendship, fairness and keenness of competition and hope sincerely that you will return to Pwllheli in the future.

Mwynhewch y pencampwriaeth enjoy the Championship
Cofion goraubest wishes
