Cyflwyniad

Bu’r Pwyllgor Rheoli yn ymwybodol iawn o’r pwysau cynyddol y mae’r digwyddiadau a’r rhaglenni hyfforddiant llwyddiannus yn eu rhoi ar gyfleusterau’r Clwb.

Club and marquee

Mae’r rhain yn rhan sylfaenol o swyddogaeth y Clwb fel ‘Canolfan Ddigwyddiadau’ (adeiladwyd y clwb gyda chymorth grantiau i ddatblygu canolfan ddigwyddiadau). Fodd bynnag, ni ddychmygwyd erioed y byddai cymaint o dwf yn y busnes hwn na’r canlyniad y byddai hyn yn ei gael ar y Clwb.

Mae’r digwyddiadau a’r rhaglenni hyfforddiant, a drefnwyd gan Glwb Hwylio Pwllheli yn ystod y tair blynedd diwethaf, wedi cynhyrchu £5.1 miliwn i’r economi leol!

Roeddent hefyd yn teimlo’n rhwystredig oherwydd diffyg yr angorfeydd gwag un pwrpas i ymwelwyr a’r ffaith nad oeddem felly’n gallu cynnal regatas cychod mawr.

Buom hefyd yn ystyried ffyrdd o helpu aelodau sydd eisiau lansio eu badau bach a’u badau tendio.

Yn ystod y ddwy flynedd ddiwethaf, bu gweithgor Pwyllgor Rheoli yn archwilio’r holl opsiynau a’r cyfleoedd posibl. Rydym wedi datblygu perthynas waith ragorol â Chyngor Gwynedd ac wedi llwyddo i sicrhau cefnogaeth Llywodraeth Cynulliad Cymru.

Credwn fod gennym bellach y gefnogaeth wlediyddol am gynllun cynhwysfawr i ddarparu Angorfeydd Ymwelwyr, datblygu’r Ganolfan Ddigwyddiadau a sefydlu Academi Hwylio.

Er ein bod yn y cyfnod cysyniad o hyd, ystyriwn ei bod yn briodol rhoi gwybodaeth am y prosiect cyffrous hwn er mwyn cael dealltwriaeth lawn o’r cynllun a rôl y Clwb. Dyma ddechrau’r broses ymgynghori honno.

Disgwylir adroddiad y peirianyddion am y gwaith carthu ym mis Ebrill yn dilyn y profion a gynhaliwyd yn ystod yr ychydig wythnosau diwethaf a byddwn yn rhoi mwy o wybodaeth bryd hynny.

Mae felly’n bleser mawr gennym roi’r cyflwyniad canlynol yn seiliedig ar y wybodaeth a rannwyd ag aelodau yn ddiweddar.

Byddem yn croesawu eich sylwadau mewn e-bost at:-   office@pwllhelisailingclub.co.uk

Rydym eisoes wedi cael syniadau gwerthfawr y gobeithiwn eu hymgorffori yn y cynllun.

Mae’r rhain yn cynnwys y canlynol:-

Pontŵn Newydd y Clwb

Mae’r cydweithrediad gwych a gawsom gan y Cyngor a Llywodraeth Cynulliad Cymru wedi arwain at gyflenwi pontŵn newydd yn lle pontŵn y Clwb a suddodd y llynedd.

Mae’r pontŵn newydd, modiwlaidd, hynod fodern yn ei le bellach i’r gogledd o’r Hafan a bydd yn gyfleuster rhagorol inni ar gyfer digwyddiadau eleni. Bydd y pontŵn yn cael ei ddefnyddio hefyd gan adran ieuenctid y Clwb, CHIPAC, ar gyfer eu cychod Optimist, Topper, Cadet a Laser.

Caiff Fforddolion y Clwb eu docio ar y pontŵn ac mae rhaglen o sesiynau rasio a hyfforddi ar y gweill. Cadwch lygad am fwy o wybodaeth am gyfleoedd hwylio a drefnir gan y Clwb.

RIBs and Wayfarers on Versadock

Bydd y pontŵn hwn hefyd yn cael ei ymgorffori yn y system bontŵn newydd pan fydd wedi’i chwblhau.

Testun CymraegEvents and Sailing Academy

Introduction

The Management Committee have been very aware of the growing demands which are being imposed on the Club’s facilities by the successful events and training programmes.

These are a fundamental part of the function of the Club as an ‘Events Centre’. (the club was built with the benefit of grants to develop an events centre). However, it was never imagined that there would be such a growth in this business and the consequence this would have on the Club.

The events and training programmes, organised by Pwllheli Sailing Club over the last three years have produced £5.1million into the local economy!

We were also being frustrated by the lack of dedicated vacant visiting berths and the consequential inability to host large boat regattas.

We have also been looking at ways to help members who wish to launch their dinghies and tenders.

Optimist in Event Compound

A Management Committee working group has for the last two years been exploring all of the possible options and opportunities. We developed an excellent working relationship with Cyngor Gwynedd Council and we have been successful in securing the support of the Welsh Assembly Government

We believe that we now have the political support for a comprehensive scheme to provide Visitor Berths, develop the Events Centre and to establish a Sailing Academy.

Although still at concept stage we consider it appropriate to provide information regarding this exciting project so that there is full understanding of the scheme and the Club’s role. This is the start of that consultation process.

The engineer's report regarding the dredging is due in April following the testing that has been undertaken over the last few weeks and we will provide further information at that time.

We therefore have great pleasure in providing the following presentation based on the information shared with members recently.

We would welcome your observations and comments by e-mail to:-    office@pwllhelisailingclub.co.uk

These include the following:-

The New Club Pontoon

The excellent co-operation that we have received from the Council and The Welsh Assembly Government has led to the supply of a new pontoon to replace the Club’s pontoon which sank last year.

Wayfarer on Versadock

The new, ultra modern, modular style pontoon is now on station to the north of the Hafan and will provide us with an excellent facility for this year’s events. The pontoon will also be used by the Club’s youth section CHIPAC for their Optimists, Toppers, Cadets and Lasers.

The Club’s Wayfarers will be docked on the pontoon and a programme of racing and training sessions are now being arranged. Look out for more information regarding organised Club sailing opportunities.

This new pontoon will also be incorporated into the new pontoon system when it has been completed.
