Cymraeg CHIPAC sailors , Mari Davies, Matthew Butterworth, and Josh Davies attended the 2010 Purple Marine Topper Inland Championship at Grafham and found it as equally frustrating as it was exciting.
Matthew pushed the boat out literally and came home with a 62nd place from 270+ topper sailors ( a personal best for Matthew, an ITCA (GB) Topper JDP squaddie and CHIPAC ..
The event held annually at Grafham draws the top 200 sailors from across the country but so friendly a class is this, that 70 other lesser experienced topper sailors attended the two day competition as new-bies and first timers…. Mari being one of them. All credit to her, out there with the main fleet sporting a sail in full windy and blustery conditions.. many sailors larger and more experienced didn’t even venture out..Well Done Mari…. Josh, a Welsh national topper squad 
member this year, fought hard over the first two races run and was in the top 100 when the conditions got so difficult he came in for the third and final race Congratulations to all three..
