Nautical Quiz Night 2 April 2010

The quiz night was a great success with a good turnout in the Club room. The prizes were kindly donated by the Motorboat Section Sub-Committee members.

Many thanks to Simon Gravely who donated 2 tickets for the Manchester United/Chelsea match for the auction.

Also many thanks to Tony Williams who re-donated his winnings from the Football Card back to the Club.

Thank-you to everyone who took part and congratulations to the winning team ‘PAGAN’.

Flotilla Trip Porthmadog 4 April 2010

The Porthmadog flotilla went ahead as planned as the offshore wind provided a nice day for the trip.

We enjoyed a peaceful cruise up to Porthmadog at high water and views of the snow topped mountains were spectacular.

The return journey wasn’t as peaceful,  as the water around the Porthmadog fairway buoy gave us a little bit of a challenge!  But the experience and the benefits of cruising in company gave us all extra confidence.

We anchored in Aberech Bay on the return to Pwllheli and enjoyed lunch on a practically flat calm sea.
