We had a good slot by the marina and checked about 60 life jackets and chatted to 100 people or so.
About 70% of the jackets had out of date firing mechanisms, they would most likely have worked but it goes to show that people don't know what to check.

11 Clwb Hwylio Pwllheli Sailors at The Volvo Gill Optimist Inland Championships

The Volvo Gill Optimist Inland Championships was held at Grafham Water on May 18th / 19th with a 11 Clwb Hwylio Pwllheli sailors representing the club out of a total entry of 210 sailors in the main fleet. The championships was held over 2 contrasting days with the first day held in wind speeds of f2-3 but Sunday welcomed the sailors with glorious sunshine , but windspeed of 0.0kts $ made the appearance of the “cat in the hat” inevitable, which delayed the first start , but the wind did pick up to give 2 very shifty races on the Sunday.
