Cymraeg Jamie Carr kept his boat on the Plas Heli pontoons last year and trained in the bay for his cross Atlantic row as part of the Talisker Challenge.
Rowing in aid of charity he has finished in Antigua 2nd in the single handed class with a time of 54 days 1 hrs 12 mins.
His reported coment - "It's safe to say I'm never doing a solo row again! I thought I'd be OK because I like my own company but that's a different ball game all together."
